God of War II is an action-adventure game developed by SCE Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2. It is the second game in the God of War series. The game was released in 2007.
Loosely based on Greek mythology God of War 2 is the fifth chapter in the series, and forms part of a saga, with vengeance as a central theme. The game focuses on protagonist Kratos, who has become the new god of War after his defeat of the Olympian god Ares. Betrayed by Zeus due to his actions in God of War 1, Kratos - now aided by the Titan Gaia - attempts to avert his betrayal by by seeking out The Sisters of Fate and changing his destiny.

Kratos' main weapon is a pair of blades attached to chains that are wrapped around the character's wrists and forearms. Called Athena's Blades (also known as the Blades of Athena) in this game, they can be swung offensively in various maneuvers.

A necessary sequel, pretty well cast. The story of Kratos does not end up winning against Ares and becoming a god, it is well known that the gods would be frightened of a human capable of killing a god.
I liked the story a lot, although I would have liked them to show the titans a little more light in the scenery, but the heroes of the mythology of which we read stories since we went to primary school compensate. heroes and figures like Icarus, the sisters of destiny, the fenix, they are all there.

Complete levels of the game or gather specific items to reveal unlockables that help you in your gameplay. Here's how:

• Athena:Complete God of War 2 on Titan mode.
• Dark Odyssey: Complete God of War 2 on God mode.
• General Kratos:Collect 20 cyclops eyes. For them to count, you must kill them with a context-sensitive move.
• God Armor:This armor doubles all stats. To unlock it, receive a God ranking in Challenge mode.
• God of War Costume:Complete God of War 2 on any difficulty level.
• Hercules:Complete God of War 2 on Titan mode.

Bonus Play Option: After you successfully complete God of War 2, save your game. Now you can select the Bonus Play option when starting a new game. This option retains all the weapons and magic at the levels you reached during the first game, right from the start of the new game.

Hidden Sex Mini-Game: Near the beginning of the game on the first level where you fight Colossus, he hits you into the house. Do not go under the water yet. The Golden Fleece: You receive the Golden Fleece from the Cursed Cerberus. When you have it, you can use it to block enemy attacks by pressing L1. If you continuously press L1 you block and return almost all attacks.

Unlock All Movies: Completing God of War 2 unlocks all the movies in the game, including high-resolution movies and all the cut-scene movies the game has to offer.

Secret God of War II Message and Site: If you're lucky enough to pull off a 999,999 hit combo, you are given a URL for a God of War 2 website. Similar to the first game, where you were given a telephone number, you get a secret message upon visiting the site. In the first God of War, it was a text message. However, the website has some gameplay footage with developer commentary on it.
